Hello guys, what is popping? I am feeling so excited and blessed today trust me. Its been a very rough week, I was down for a while but I bless God for His healing power upon my life.
Today begins a new segment on this blog called My Word, My Sword! where guest writers are given the platform to share a word or two with us every Friday.
It could be a poem, a story, an article as long as it is really inspiring.
My Beautiful Friend and Sister, Promise Chigozie Romanus is in her final year in school, studying Mathematics, she is the top best in her class, she is extremely talented and has a heart of gold.
We were sharing God’s word, when she mentioned something powerful and I was moved by it, I immediately asked her if she wrote an article about it and she said she did, so I requested that she features the article on the blog so that others like me can be blessed by it.
It is a long one but please stay with us, I promise you wont regret it.This lady is extremely gifted and I am so humbled to have her share from her well of wisdom.
In Fellowship, But No Relationship
In the Kingdom today we observe that there are different categories of believers or Christians who are running this race, called the Heavenly Race in their own different understanding. If we take a passoinate look at End-Time Ministries and Churches of today, we see that there is a great difference between the former and the present day churches. We now see Christians who are just after miracles when they are the miracles they need, we see Christians who are just too busy, too engrossed with activities and have lost their intimacy with God, “for we are the salt of the World” this is what the word of God says to us. Yes for every one of us, not just some special people.
One thing about the salt is that it gives the food savour, (taste) but if the salt loses its savour its of no use, but do you know that if that salt loses its savour it still retains the white colour but it’s importance or impact is not noticed. Yes that’s what some Christians can be most described as, we function perfectly well in Church activities, we help the needy, we do almost everything we know how to do very well but we have lost the true purpose of the Kingdom, we have lost the intimacy, the connection with the head of the Church. We are now so carried away, forgetting the purpose of the Kingdom. Before the fall of the first man (Adam), in the cool of the evening, God comes down to fellowship with him, the main purpose of that fellowship is to create an intimate relationship with him. But after the fall of man, he lost that relationship and fellowship, we were created for fellowship but most importantly is our relationship with God. The main focus here is the fellowship and our relationship, you have to be in fellowship before you go into an intimate relationship with God.
“Relationship with God is not determined by Church attendance“
Most believers have found themselves in church for years but not in relationship with the living God, so they have no fruit to show but we see those that just got converted by those who have been around or in church for so many years bearing more fruits but this is not the pattern it should be. Where are those Christians that can stand strong and all their mindset is on
Who can separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulations or distress or persecution or famine or nakedness or peril or sword?
Its hard to say but it’s more profitable. When we just seek after miracles and forget our walk with God then it becomes a problem in our life because we just loss everything, we will never be able to make good use of our potentials, then we end up as the defeated and dependant believers.
“For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh, but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit”.
One thing about having this relationship with God is that it attracts “God’s Grace”. It is this grace that elevates you five steps above those that started 10years before you. Its that relationship that makes you a carrier of God’s presence.
Fellowship in this article is Church attendance while relationship is the understanding of the power of the King and His Kingdom, understanding your place in the King’s house and not just working with empty minds. Understanding the principle of the Kingdom. There are thousands of people who want to work for God but very few want to with God.
“Relationship with God is working step by step with God and fellowship in this context is working for God“
“Creating a relationship is God’s responsibility the only responsibility for us is to create a willing heart“
You cannot fill a container that is already filled with water, you only fill what is empty and be willing to accept what you fill it with. Most Christians have this mindset of helping God out to do His work which is not meant to be, this limits God’s outpour on us. We settle on earth, while He plans for us to seat in Heavenly places with Him, why is this so? Because there is no relationship or no understanding of this intimate relationship with God.
We have spoken so much on how we have lost it but how do we reconnect ourselves back to God? It is never too late to reconnect, since the head is not off, we there is a solution. It takes a willing heart to access greater height.
“And you that were sometimes alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled”.
2 Corinthians 5:18-19
“And all things are of God who hath reconciled us to Himself by Jesus Christ and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation.”
“To with that God was in Christ reconciling the world into himself not imputing their trespasses unto them and hath commuted unto us the word of reconciliation.”
At just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for us, just to demonstrate His own love for us, Christ died to restore back the relationship we had with God.
Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed that henceforth we should not serve sin, 7 for he that is dead is freed from sin, 8 now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him.
Since we have given our life to Christ lets let the old man die totally, giving our whole to God, if we stand on the fence we loss that unique relationship with God because he cannot behold iniquity.
Most believers still indulge in little sins that destroys our connection with God and we tend to overlook them.
Retrace your steps right now. These are the major steps…
*Make the presence of God your life, there is glory in the presence of God.
*When you live in His presence, you become a moving miracle, not needing any laying of hands for testimonies. This is what a divine relationship can generate. When you have this connection not just serving without – understanding, you compel the power of the Spirit, whenever you live a Spirit filled life, you become Spirit itself.
Seek God’s kingdom even as you work in His vineyard. When your heart seek for God, men seek to bless you, when you are connected to God, He fills your cup, then you have an outpour, you have drops, that overflows to the people around. This is your proof of being in the Kingdom…
- When you are connected to the Spirit you just cannot explain certain things that happens to you.
Without a relationship with God, Christianity becomes a burden.
Before I conclude here let’s meditate a little by asking these questions..
- How many years have I been in Christ? am I reflecting God’s Glory in His Kingdom?
How many times have I impacted God’s word in people’s lives?
What do I have to show forth after so many years…
- Lord reconnect me, come and live in me, let me reflect you.
Thank you Holy Spirit
Grace to work in your presence all day
